Review by hotel critic
After an unforgettable family vacation at Residence Villa Rioddi in Volterra, I can confidently say it's the epitome of a warm and inviting retreat in the heart of Tuscany. While immersed in the tranquility of the rolling hills, we savored the serene ambiance of this family-run hotel. Luca and his family welcomed us with open arms, embodying true Italian hospitality. The breakfast spread, an artistic display of local flavors, rivaled those of high-end hotels, tempting us with freshly baked goods and tantalizing savory dishes, which changed daily. One charming touch was learning about the old heraldic coat of arms that belonged to the family in the 1800s, adding a layer of historical intrigue to our stay. At night, surrounded by the picturesque views, we experienced the essence of Tuscany, feeling a deep connection to the land and its traditions – much like the revered Palio event in Siena. In a world where connectivity is key, the seamless Wi-Fi access across public areas ensured we could easily share our cherished moments with loved ones back home. From spacious rooms to a lovely swimming pool, everything at Villa Rioddi was designed with families in mind, making it a true gem for those seeking a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Our time at Villa Rioddi was a blend of art, history, and heartfelt hospitality, leaving us with treasured memories to last a lifetime.
